Technical inspection

Scope of Technical inspection:
  • Technical inspection of stationary and rotary mechanical equipment inside and outside the country.
  • Inspection of equipment and components of oil, gas, petrochemical, refinery, power plant and oil & gas transmission lines
  • Technical inspection during production of copper, steel, cement, water and sewage industries equipment
  • Inspection of all electrical equipment and instrumentation of technical projects inside and outside the country
  • Review and approval of electrical equipment Quality Control Plan (QCP) for domestic and foreign manufacturers in order to be certified by Tavanir Co.
  • Design and writing Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Inspection Test plan (ITP) for inspection and quality control of technical equipment.
  • Review and approval of welding procedure specification (WPS & PQR) along with evaluation of welders to be certainly qualified
  • Inspection and control of production line, facilities and equipment of the manufacturers in order to be ensured about their capabilities to conduct the required tests as per relevant standards.
  • Supervision of destructive and non-destructive tests while being performed in the accredited laboratories through qualified inspector’s presence in the lab along with reviewing relevant documents and reports
  • Attendance in Pre-inspection meetings (PIM) with the presence of representatives of Clients and contractors and provide consultancy services on inspection process of subject equipment
  • Issuing certificate in order to confirm the quality and quantity compliance of the product manufactured with the technical specifications of the project and the issuance of Inspection release note accordingly (Release Note).

Technical Inspection Stages & Principles:
  • Review and approval of QCP and ITP provided by the manufacturer in accordance with the requirements of Purchase order, technical specifications and reference standards
  • Attendance in Pre-inspection meetings (PIM) with the presence of representatives of manufacturer and project client in order to make the needful coordination for review and approval of inspection procedures
  • Evaluation of the capability and technical assessment of subcontractors and raw material suppliers & manufacturers
  • Inspection of raw materials and equipment to be complied with project technical specifications
  • Inspection during production of equipment in accordance with drawings, technical documents, Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and Quality control plan (QCP) which are approved by the project client
  • Inspection and validation of controls carried out on the final product and review of technical and control records.
  • Final inspection of equipment after completion of production and before shipment (Pre-shipment inspection)
  • Marking & Packing inspection of equipment in accordance with the requirements of the contract and relevant standards
  • Review and approval of the quality control documents booklet (Final Data book).
Technical Inspection levels:

Level 1 (During production / Construction project inspection at any time):

The type and scheduling of this inspection to be determined after the Pre-Inspection Meeting so that the inspectors, in accordance with the timetable and based on the stations defined in the project approved ITP, will attend in project from the beginning to the end of the production/construction process at the manufacturing site of equipment. Construction progress and performance of required tests are fully monitored by witnessing and reviewing documents.

Level 2 (inspection at specified times):

Inspection is only carried out at predetermined specific times, and final inspection and functional tests to be performed at manufacturing location before the goods and equipment are delivered.

Level 3 (final inspection and testing):

Inspection shall be performed on the made-up equipment and shall include final functional tests of goods. At this level of inspection, inspection are carried out on one or more samples selected randomly.

Level 4 Inspection (inspection and equipment final control):

Inspection includes review of quality control documents and test reports submitted by manufacturer or other accredited centers or laboratories related to the required tests already performed on manufactured equipment
